It is a community game as everyone is either betting with or against the shooter. The most common wager is the Pass Line bet. On the opening roll 'come out roll', a 7 or 11 wins and a 2,3 or 12 loses. If the outcome is any other number (4,5,6,8,9,10), the shooter must roll that number again before a 7. There are a variety of other wagers that can be made.
