• Jockey Alex Cintron’s first season at Oaklawn Park in 2012 was a success, gaining the attention of the
horsemen with his 21 victories and top-10 finish for the meet.
• He began riding in Puerto Rico and his passion for racing and love for horses brought him to the United States
in 2008 where in launched his career at Philadelphia Park, now called Parx. His most memorable race to date
came in 2011 at Colonial Downs when he won the Daniel Van Clief Stakes with Silver Tie Affair.
• Cintron used the momentum he gained at Oaklawn to propel him into a solid meet at Delaware Park in 2012
where he was second leading rider with 89 victories, including two stakes – The Forever Together with In the
Rough and the Cape Henlopen with Oaklawn favorite Win Willy. He also won two stakes at Laurel Park in 2012
– the Laurel Futurity with Tate’s Landing and the Sweet and Sassy with Gleaming.
